Bromley’s best afternoon teas for a magical Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is fast approaching, and afternoon tea is the perfect way to treat your wonderful mums. While we’re still in lockdown and unable to go out for the day, there’s plenty of cafes and coffee shops offering takeaway or delivery. So, if you’re struggling for ideas, here’s a few of the places in and around Bromley you should definitely check out in the lead up to Mother’s Day.

Frogpool Manor restaurant

This small, family orientated restaurant is tucked away among Frogpool Manor Farm in Chislehurst. While it’s a shame we can’t visit this quaint and cosy restaurant ourselves, their cream tea deliveries have also received some rave reviews. If you can’t be tempted by a fabulous three course meal from their dedicated Mother’s Day menu, their afternoon tea selection looks equally impressive.

In addition to further delicious delights, orders also come with a Mother’s Day balloon and a mini hamper which is packed and presented with love. Take a look at their Mother’s Day menu here.

The Croft Tea Room is a little gem located in St Mary Cray High Street. Even while it isn’t open for customers to dine in, it remains a focal point for the local community, offering and contact-free collection and delivery service, as well as using locally sourced produce. Being a small business takes nothing away from the quality of their service, providing great sandwiches and delicious homemade cakes. Their Sparkling afternoon tea also comes with a little bottle of Prosecco for the perfect Mother’s Day treat.
