Meet the team – Richie the office dog

My name is Richie, I am a 10-year-old Pomeranian from Russia and am currently undergoing two weeks of work experience as an office dog at RONIN Marketing.

In my spare time I enjoy cuddles, barking at strangers, and meeting other dogs in the park .

I lived near Omsk in Russia for most of my life but relocated to the UK last April to be with my owner, Alina. It was a long journey by plane, car, ferry and van but worth it to be reunited.

Last week Alina went on holiday, so I came to live with Judith and Steve for two weeks and as part of my stay I’m doing work experience at their offices in Bromley.

The first morning was tough, I’m not really used to getting up early and they made me walk round the park at 7.30am before work. Then in the car off to Bromley, I wanted to sit on Judith’s knee while she was driving but she made me sit in the passenger seat and wear a seat belt (she’s quite bossy!)

It was fun meeting the RONIN team, I barked at them all just to show them who was boss, but I like them really, they give me lots of cuddles. They also laugh at me, I’m not sure why? I joined in their Monday morning meeting, I have to sit on someone’s knee so I can see what’s going on, because I have quite short legs. I couldn’t understand all of the meeting as I’m not fluent in English yet, but it seemed quite interesting.

There were lots of steps up to the meeting room so I needed a lie down after the meeting. I like to sleep on someone’s knee, so I just go from one chair to another until someone picks me up, if I don’t get lucky I have to sleep on the floor.

I’ve had a nice time as RONIN Marketing’s office dog, everyone is very friendly, however, I’m quite old and it has tired me out a bit. I’m looking forward to going back into retirement next week and having a lie in.
