25 Jul Proctors exceeds its 2000 followers goal
We are excited to have reached our Twitter follower goal for Proctors this month. As part of our social media strategy for the estate agency firm, we teamed up with Gambado Beckenham, the UK’s ultimate indoor play and party centre, to create a twitter competition. The fabulous prize was a free annual pass to Gambado for a family of four.
Proctors wanted to expand its outreach within the local community and so we decided to create something that would appeal to local families. Gambado was the perfect brand to partner with as it is a place that allows mums, dads and kids to have fun together.
The competition was created specifically for twitter and anybody interested in the prize would have to follow both Proctor’s and Gambado’s twitter accounts and retweet one of our 3 daily competition tweets. In addition, we decided on the hashtag #Proctors2000 – including Proctors name was important for driving the brand forward and ‘2000’ was to remind people of the follower count that needed to be reached before the winner of the prize was announced.
Our design team worked hard on creating a special social media graphic with the brand names and the unique competition hashtag, helping to create a buzz of excitement around retweeting and replying to the post.
The #Proctors2000 competition was a big success with Proctor’s website traffic increasing by 40%, the social media referrals going up by 5% and the number of impressions increasing by 48.9%.
