RONIN does Social Media Week 2016!

RONIN does Social Media Week 2016!

We were delighted to have had the chance to attend Social Media Week last month. The social media team at RONIN was treated to the prestigious event that took place at the BFI, Southbank in London Waterloo and we were super excited!

Social Media Week is a conference that showcases a week packed full of interesting presentations, panels and workshops from some of the biggest, most innovative brands and agencies in the industry. This year at the event, talks were given by Facebook, National Geographic, BBH London, Forbes and many others. The talks covered a range of topics, sharing insights into the exciting ways that social media is being used to define brand identities and engage communities.

The BFI provided the perfect setting for the event with a cosy lounge area complete with a generous amount of power stations, wi-fi and bottomless cups of coffee. (What else does a social media expert need?) We LOVED it!

There were many key insights to take away from the event but one of the most exciting highlights for us was the emergence of video content. Live video is a medium that has been around for a while but brands are increasingly using it to their advantage. Live video offers an amazing opportunity to get instant feedback from communities across the globe, allowing businesses to tailor their service to how the consumer wants it to be. Video content also offers a refreshing change to static images and text enabling a different, more engaging brand experience.

Social Media Week reinforced the fact that Social Media is a powerful tool for marketing brands as well as sustaining good relationships with the community. The event highlighted the different ways in which this could be done, putting the spotlight on the importance of remaining consistent with brand strategies.

We were given an inside look into the exciting new trends predicted to emerge in the social media world next year. Love social media but don’t know where to start? We can help. Not only do we offer social media management services, we also offer social media training to help you get the most out of marketing your business online.
