10 Jun RONIN gets London update with new domain names
Big internet news! Today, June 10, is the official launch date for .uk domain names from Nominet, the non-profit company that manages UK web addresses.
From today .uk domain names are available for purchase. And RONIN has acquired roninmarketing.uk, which went live today. We’ve also acquired the following domains, which will go-live in August 2014:
If you’re wondering what .co stands for anyway, its ‘commercial’ – .com does too (interesting fact for you there, might even score you a point on a pub quiz one day!) But since the new domain names see the removal of .co it’s perhaps not so useful anymore.
This change brings the UK in line with other countries, such as Germany (.de) and France (.fr). The new domain names are catchy, short, easy to remember – and of course highlight the fact that we’re a UK business. And if you’re a London-based business, like us, the new domains incorporate that too; making it a lot easier for people looking for your services locally to find you.
The new names are likely to be snapped up quickly, so make sure you purchase yours from your domain name provider ASAP.
