RONIN MEET THE TEAM – COURTNEY

RONIN MEET THE TEAM – COURTNEY

How long have you worked at RONIN?
I’ve only been at RONIN for 2 days, so I’m definitely the office newbie!

What’s your background? i.e. qualifications, past experience
Last summer I graduated with a degree in Philosophy, with a particular affinity towards ethics, animal rights and the value and meaning of life. After graduating I decided to go back to hospitality, working as a waitress at Giraffe, while I decided what avenue I wanted to go down career-wise. With previous enjoyable experience in marketing and PR, I approached RONIN to further explore the career path, developing skills in these areas.

What does your day-to-day job involve?

At the moment, since I am only two days in I am currently researching our clients, getting to grips with what each individual client does as a business and what work we do for them so I have a good core understanding of RONIN marketing.

What’s your favourite part of the job?
I love the people: everyone has been so warm and welcoming. I never thought I would be socialising with the team outside of work in the first week. It’s really refreshing to work with such positive and friendly individuals!

What social media platform could you not live without?
My one true love: Instagram.

What are your interests outside of work?
I love trying out new restaurants, particularly niche ones in London like Mildred’s or Sexy Fish.  My love of food continues as I do my fair share of baking and general cooking; tagine is my no.1 dish! If I’m not eating then I’m probably working off what I’ve already eaten, trying to channel my inner Stefanie Moir or Natacha Oceane.  I also have a minor online shopping addiction; ASOS is my home …

Who would play you in a film about your life?
Probably Sophie Turner, on the condition she brings back the ginger hair.

What’s your guilty pleasure?
Belinda Carlisle  – ‘Heaven Is A Place On Earth’. I will gladly listen to this song on repeat with no shame!

If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be?

Hard-working, positive & driven.

We’re off to the pub – what’s your order?
A glass of pinot.
