How long have you worked at RONIN?
This is my 3rd day at RONIN.
What’s your background? i.e qualifications, past experience
I’m in my placement year of university, studying Television Production at Bournemouth, so my primary field is media production. On my placement year I’ve been enjoying working in social media. RONIN is the second marketing agency that I’ve worked at throughout this academic year and I’m really pleased that I’ve been able to continue learning about social media and PR here.
What does your day-to-day job involve?
At the moment I’m being introduced to our clients here at RONIN and doing research on what each client does and how we run their social media for them. I’ve been writing copy for our clients’ social media plans. Once I’m settled I’ll be scheduling social media plans and attending team meetings.
What’s your favourite part of the job?
So far I’ve been really enjoying conducting research on our clients and familiarising myself with their individual tone of voice. The RONIN team have been so welcoming and I feel like part of the team already.
Which social media platform could you not live without?
I think I spend on average around 90% of my day scrolling through Instagram. The thought of not being able to post an Instagram Story feels very stressful.
What are your interests outside of work?
My biggest hobby is the gym, I try to train five days a week. I also love to travel, earlier in the year I flew out to Australia, via Hong Kong, and had an amazing few weeks adventuring the land down under! I love festivals and try to go to at least 2 each year. If I’m not doing any of the above then you’ll probably find me ordering copious amounts of clothes online.
Who would play you in a film about your life?
Being half Irish I would want Saoirse Ronan to play me. I love Jorja Smith so ideally the film would be a musical and Jorja would voice Saoirse in any songs.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
I may be 21, but I’ve not quite gotten over the High School Musical era of my life yet. The High School Musical 3 soundtrack is my go-to for long car journeys down to uni.
If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be?
Adventurous, motivated and outgoing.
