04 Oct RONIN round-up: Re-brands, websites, social media and more…
2023 has undoubtedly been a tricky year for everyone, with rising costs putting people and businesses under increasing pressure. Here at RONIN, we’re looking on the bright side, and we’re fortunate to have been kept busy helping clients with lots of exciting projects – including branding, websites, content and social media campaigns. Here’s a run-down of just some of things we’ve been up to.
We first met energy data and analytics company, Stark, three years ago when it acquired our client Squire Energy. At the time, Joel Stark, Managing Director of the business said, “one of the things that attracted us to Squire in the first place was the quality of its marketing.” Having worked with Squire Energy since 2017, we had an in-depth knowledge of the business and so, when Stark decided it was time to integrate Squire into its brand, the business approached us to help smooth the transition.
The first stage of the work was designing a new modern website for Stark, aligned with the company’s recently refreshed branding and incorporating its new services. As the business was transitioning from a data analytics company to a provider of complete end-to-end energy management solutions, one of the main challenges we faced was devising a simple, logical navigational structure for its new expanded offering. Our solution was to employ a megamenu, displaying all the services at the same time in a simple and visually appealing way.
In the months leading up to the launch of the new website, we also provided marketing consultation on managing the re-brand of Squire Energy on its digital platforms. We devised a structured campaign of communications, including social media posts, website content and e-shots, for pre- and post-launch, with the aim of introducing Squire’s new name to customers, while reassuring them they would still receive the same high-quality level of service they were used to from the business.
We’ve been working with Elkins Construction since 2021, initially on a rebrand and new website, and subsequently on a monthly content and social media programme. The company was celebrating its sixtieth year in business in 2023 and asked us to create a new anniversary logo to use on its website, email signature, vans, and other marketing collateral throughout the year.
RONIN’s designers approached the task as a mini-branding project, presenting a variety of different initial concepts and then refining the preferred designs for review by the management team. The chosen design utilises the brand colours and brick elements of the Elkins logo in a ‘60’ shape, ensuring it complements the main company logo when the two are used side-by-side.
At the end of last year, we ran a local competition offering a free rebrand to one of our fellow sponsors of Bromley Football Club. The competition was won by our neighbours in East Street, Brownhill Insurance Group, and we were pleased to unveil the new brand identity we created for the business in June.
Our designers worked with Brownhill to understand the family heritage of the business, coming up with a final design that includes a nod to the family crest in the shape of a shield. As a symbol of strength and protection, it was the perfect choice for an insurance business. Ben Henderson, Managing Director at Brownhill, said: “I was really impressed with how much work and research was involved with a rebrand. We’re really grateful for the great job the team at RONIN has done and we’re delighted with the final result.”
One of our longest-standing clients is business consultancy, Oliver Wight, and we’ve been working on some exciting new projects for the company this year. Alongside our regular content and social media programme for the Asia Pacific region, we’re working with the Americas team on a series of white papers about Integrated Business Planning and strategy. We have also created a new brand for Oliver Wight’s short-term planning product, Integrated Tactical Planning.
McBrides Chartered Accountants
Earlier this year we were asked to design a new website for McBrides Chartered Accountants. The business wanted a fresh, vibrant look, with streamlined content in a clean design, which denotes its place in the industry as a professional and trusted accountancy business. We’ve had a great time working with the McBrides team on this project, and we can’t wait to launch the new website very soon. Keep your eyes on our social media channels for the big reveal!
Bromley Football Club
As long-time supporters of Bromley Football Club, we’ve continued to work with the club this year in a variety of ways, whether it’s through our branding competition or designing new pitch boards for our client and fellow sponsor, Coventry Scaffolding. Recently, we’ve been assisting the club’s marketing team, producing flyer designs for a number of upcoming events, including an evening with ex-footballer Jimmy Bullard, as well as the club’s Christmas Party, Winter Ball, and a Murder Mystery night.
